High-pressure water jetting (often called hydro-jetting) is an advanced plumbing technique that uses a specialised, heavy-duty machine to blast water through your drainage pipes at incredibly high pressure - often exceeding 4,000 PSI.

We feed a highly durable, flexible hose fitted with a custom-engineered nozzle deep into your plumbing system. The nozzle features a forward-facing jet that punches directly through solid obstructions, while powerful reverse-facing jets propel the hose along the pipe and vigorously scour the internal walls clean. It is essentially an industrial pressure washer designed specifically for the inside of your underground drains.

In almost every scenario, hydro-jetting is vastly superior to traditional mechanical methods like an electric eel. An electric eel uses a rotating metal cable to physically break apart a blockage. While this can temporarily restore water flow, the cable usually just bores a narrow hole through the centre of the fat, grease, or roots, leaving the vast majority of the blockage still clinging to the pipe walls.

Because the debris is left behind, the pipe will quickly choke up again. Hydro-jetting, on the other hand, completely dissolves and washes away the entire blockage, flushing all the scale, grease, and compacted sand out into the municipal sewer main. It leaves your pipes looking and functioning as if they were brand new, providing a much longer-lasting solution.

Yes, hydro-jetting is our absolute preferred method for tackling severe tree root infestations in underground sewer and stormwater lines. When roots breach a pipe joint seeking moisture, they form a dense, incredibly tough mass that standard plunging cannot move.

We attach highly specialised root-cutting nozzles to our jetting hoses. The extreme water pressure powers a rotating cutting blade that slices the thick tree roots completely flush with the internal wall of the pipe. The high-volume water flow then flushes the massive amount of root debris out of your system entirely, clearing the way for us to run a CCTV camera down the line and assess the structural damage.
