We had a client in Burns Beach who noticed water leaking down their driveway while they were overseas on holiday. After seeing it on their CCTV, it became an urgent priority to have it fixed as soon as possible.

We were initially called out, as it was assumed to be an issue with the reticulation system. However, upon inspection, we quickly identified a leak in the copper pipe coming off the water meter.

From there, we sweep the property using highly sensitive electronic gas sniffers that sound an alarm when they detect combustible molecules, allowing us to pinpoint faults hidden behind plasterboard or under concrete without tearing your property apart.

Why is my gas bill so high if I haven't changed my habits?

A sudden, unexplained spike in your quarterly gas bill is frequently the first indicator of an underground or external gas leak. Who is responsible for fixing the gas leak?

In Western Australia, responsibility is divided at the gas meter. The network operator is responsible for the main street infrastructure up to and including the meter itself. If the leak is physically on the meter or the street side, you must contact their emergency line.

However, the property owner is entirely responsible for all gas pipework from the meter outlet into the house, including the connections to your hot water system and oven. For these internal and property-side faults, our licensed gasfitters will handle the repair.

Do I get a compliance certificate after the repair?

Absolutely. Providing official documentation is a strict legal requirement for all gas work in Western Australia. Once we have located and repaired the fault, we conduct a final, rigorous pressure test to ensure your entire system is completely gas-tight. We then issue you with a Notice of Completion (NOC).

This certificate serves as your official proof that the repair was executed safely by a licensed professional, which is essential for your insurance records and peace of mind.
